Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) are exogenous chemicals in our environment that interfere with any aspect of hormone action causing a variety of disorders even increasing incidence rate of hormone-sensitive cancers. This mini review mainly focuses on the recent studies on the carcinogenesis of EDCs and the ideas how to reduce EDCs pollution in the aquatic environment..

Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma (MPM) is a rare cancer of the pleural surface usually associated with previous asbestos exposure. It often presents with shortness of breath, pleural effusion, weight loss and progressive chest pain. There exists a long latency

Cell Membrane Nanotubes (CMN) are tubular protrusions of the cell membrane that allow it to communicate with distant cells. CMN are employed in cell invasion by practically all pathogens, suggesting that they are of ancient origin. They also play a
role in cancer propagation, with possible therapeutic implications.

Carbamoyl Phosphate Synthetase 1 (CPS1) catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step of the urea cycle. The urea cycle is normally used for ammonia detoxification, exclusively in liver; however, specific cancer subtypes are dependent on CPS1 for pyrimidine biosynthesis and not for ammonia detoxification.
